An ideal day in your Malibu consists of: Morning ride with friends, then an evening double up session when the body gets warmed up.
Plans for 2014: Working hard at Lake Ronix and filming a new section. I also want to win some more Big Air kicker events on tour. I just really want to have fun learning new stuff behind the boat and filming.
Fun fact that most people do not know about you: I'm Canadian.
What is it like riding at Lake Ronix? The best ever. I have my boat out there right now. It's a perfect set up for straight lines and wide-open spaces for double ups. There are also amazing rail set ups we have on our system 2.0 courses.
What's the best advice for wakeboarders who want to go big and still land soft and safely? Squat it out on the landings. Get your knees, ankles and hips bending and adsorbing the impact. Also it never hurts to cross train by running, biking, hockey, cross fit, etc. The stronger you are, the less chance you have of injuring yourself on landings. Stretching is very important as well.
You have been with Malibu for a long time. What does the brand mean to you? Malibu has been an amazing part of my career and am so thankful for the opportunities and places I have been with Malibu. Also, the amazing crew at Malibu has always been top notch and great to work with. They create the most amazing boats year after year. I have always had the best wakes to train on and progress my riding year after year.
